New Developments for 2010

'Festival Village' Expansion

Now entering its 27th year, the Festival is bigger than before with the addition of 2 new marquees to the Festival Village in 2009 - Acoustic and Concert bringing the marquee total to 4 offering a weekend FULL of music, activities for all ages, Family and Youth events, workshops and children's events, plus non-stop performances at the Late Night Festival Club. The Wold Top Festival bar serves the famous Beverley Festival Brew and 'The Festival Village' also features a fantastic array of craft, food and music stalls - something for everyone. With the huge success of the expanded Festival Village, we have received a great deal of positive feedback and enthusiasm for developing it further. As a result, we will be expanding it to include a Village Green with an informal performance area and more stalls offering an even "greater" atmosphere.

'Festival Village' Campsite

Based in the grounds of Beverley Leisure Complex and within easy walking distance of the town and all the festival venues, the festival campsite visitors benefit from the fantastic facilities available in the Leisure Complex - clean, hot showers, toilet and baby changing facilities. You can even pay and take the children for a morning swim!!
The campsite is equipped with additional free showers, toilets, portaloos and disabled facilities. Once campers have pitched their tents, they will be asked to move their vehicles to a car park located nearby. This is to ensure the safety of all our festival go-ers and to keep our campsite as green as possible.

'Long Lane' Site

The Long Lane site is our NEW quiet campsite and is ideal for those wishing to get away from the festival for an hour or two to enjoy a quiet period, ready to go back revitalised!
The new site is a leisurely SHORT WALK away from the Festival Village, past the beautiful Beverley Minster. Alternatively, campers can take a shuttle bus that will be laid on specially for them.

Pets

The festival feel that whilst the site and venues are a great place for humans, they are not the best place for our four-legged friends.

We ask that you try to make alternative arrangements and NOT bring your pets to the festival wherever possible. If you do bring your pets, please take into consideration how they will feel amongst crowds and live music.

Hot weather can also be a problem for them  - they must not be left in cars in such instances.

If you do bring your pet, it must be kept on a lead, and if camping, kept quiet at all times. It is also crucial that dogs are exercised OFF the site to avoid any fouling in a public area. You will need to clear up after your pet keeping all areas clean for other festival attendees.

Pets are not allowed inside the Leisure Complex at ANY time.

Assistance Dogs are allowed into all venues

If any of these rules are not followed, a member of staff will speak with you and you may be asked to remove your pet from the site.

Thank you for respecting our site rules regarding pets

We hope you enjoy the festival!
