Once again we are moving towards a greener and more sustainable festival, and will be taking more measures to encourage festival go-ers to use our recycling facilities and be aware of the need to make the site a safe and enjoyable area for everyone. Moving cars off site last year made the whole festival experience much more relaxed and safer for all concerned. We will be repeating this exercise this year.
TRAVEL
The Festival is encouraging everyone to help us in whatever way the can towards becoming a greener, more sustainable Festival.
We are encouraging visitors to use sustainable transport wherever possible in order to reach the festival. Please visit the Northern Rail website or the Northern Rail Journey Planner for direct services: www.northernrail.org/journey/planner/bev
Freewheelers can also help you find alternative ways to visit the festival: http://www.freewheelers.com
The train station is just a 2 minute walk away from the festival site and the bus station is only about 5 minutes away.
CAMPING
Festival go-ers are not permitted to have glass on site. For this reason, we are encouraging campers to bring their own re-usable cutlery and crockery. E.g plastic plates, cups, knifes, forks etc.
